What are the implications when businesses organize themselves for betterment?

(Those who have done earlier, then it becomes re-organizing)

‘You are re-defining organizational goals and setting new benchmarks’,

‘You are leaving your comfort zone’,

‘You are adding, modifying or even eliminating (age old/obsolete/non-productive) resources (men, machinery, material, methods)’

When expressed in simple term, it is ‘the change’ all about, but for betterment.

How do we manage change?

In his first law of motion, Sir Isaac Newton stated, “an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it”. True for every organization as well.

But we are not managing with mere objects. We deal with people (employees, clients, channel partners). And subsequently, they manage the process, machinery, material and money.

That is why having the right people on the leadership team is vital  to manage “change” effectively and smoothly.

What is the team composition?

The term “leadership team” for this change does not refer to a group of senior executives. People with a “Eagle Mindset” are what we need in this situation. The people who thrive in their particular fields are called eagles. This includes accounting, human resources, sales, production, materials and housekeeping etc. Eagles consistently outperform their work, and they do so without guidance or supervision. They think creatively and go above and beyond what is required of them.

Why is forming a leadership team important? (Your Business is as Good as Your Team)

This is a crucial step in organizing your business. Keep in mind that, you are not going to take actions to organize your business. Instead, the group is in command. Moreover, when you put the right team in place, they will drive your ideas further than what you can.

Why create a Team before arriving on your goals and course of action?

Jim Collins provides an excellent narration in his book “Good to Great.” The chapter “First Who Then What” tells the story of it.

Next 2 steps (3rd & 4th) in organizing business are Mind Mapping and Organizational Goals and Targets. If and only if, you have the right leadership team ready with you, above mentioned actions will be done at its best.
